This course is designed to increase your food safety knowledge, and this level will suit you if you already work in a job where food safety is important - probably in a role where you are supervised. You may wish to increase your food safety knowledge and take on more responsibility. This qualification meets with Government guidelines and will ensure that you have covered the required training to be a food handler.
Applicants for this course need to be working in the hospitality or retail industry.
Topics covered include: the importance of food safety, common food hazards, contamination, food poisoning, food spoilage, allergens, hazard control, legal requirements and due diligence.
Assessment will be by multiple choice test paper
