For those seeking a career in Computing or to progress to an ICT/Computing programme at Level 2, to support Apprenticeship or to employment. The course runs at the Wood Street and Southgate campuses.

Applicants must have the following qualifications: 4 GCSEs at Grade D (3) and a grade C (4/5) for either English or maths. We will consider equivalent qualifications.

You will study 12 units including: The Online World, Technology Systems, Computing in the Workplace, Multimedia Product Development, Software Development, Building a Personal Computer. You will also be required to complete a work placement as part of the course.

Each unit will undergo a variety of assessments internally. Additionally, two core units will be assessed externally via examinations.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will achieve a Level 2 First Diploma in Information and Creative Technology, which is equivalent to 4 GCSEs.

You will need to purchase text books, pen drives, notebook, plastic wallets, folders, pen and pencil and notebook bag, backpack or similar.
